resently I am in the post production of an edited 100 images taken from Japan. This body of work is a collaboration of landscapes, facades, people and a mix of the three telling a story of the everyday Japan that I was a part of between the years 2003 2006.
The images are twofold. Within each frame a story unfolds before the viewer and as part of a series each image is a jigsaw piece fitting neatly into the next. Running parallel to these images is a separate series of enlarged colour mobile phone pictures. This in itself is a separate narrative using the versatility and convenience of the fun and noisy ekeitai.f
This year I have been very excited by a new body of work that is developing more and more each day. It consists of landscapes that are within a series called ePathwaysf and also some adjoining portraits.
The landscapes explore the physical and mental journeys that are part of the human condition. The portraits are single narratives that run along the same theme. |
