orn in Calcutta India, with an English mother and Scottish father, Peter was brought up in London.
His main achievements at school were winning poetry competitions and acting in Shakespeare plays. He got his first guitar at fifteen and made the tradition from poet to song-writer.
He played in London folk clubs and joined various acoustic groups, playing a variety of music, from English traditional to American 'Bluegrass'.
He joined a multi-cultural show band, the 'Go-World brass Band' as a singer, guitarist and sax player perfoming many professional and charity concerts around the UK. After this, he formed a blues/rock band 'Go World Go' and performed throughout the USA for one year.
In 1988, he formed the band 'Original Mind', with musicians from around the world. They toured Europe, including Germay, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria and Romania. They had many radio and TV appearances, including being twice on Sky TV Europe.
In 1994, he founded Original Mind Songs Music Publising, promoting several bands and song-writers.
In 1996, as a singer/song-writer, he went to Japan, performing his own songs, some of which were inspired by the culture and people of Japan.
In 1998, he recorded these songs on the album 'Tokyo Time' in Japanese and English.
During late 1999, he went on a promotional tour of Japan, playing many shows and local radio programmes.
In June 2000, he performed in Osaka, Japan at various venues and did an interview on Kochi FM radio in Shikoku.
