urrently working on an ongoing project which began in the final year of my Fine Art Degree at Falmouth College of Art. Although the basis of my project is my continued fascination of the natural world, I have expanded this concept considerably.
The themes are insects(especially butterflies and chrysalises); lizard and chameleons; abstract / imaginative landscapes inspired by flower forms; and lastly my space and time project which in inspired by my interest in the solar system.
I think my work has illusion and depth but also abstract form, with imaginative landscapes and creatures. Even the tiniest insect can be so complex and beautiful. Sadly in our daily lives these things are overlooked.
I also try to convey a strong sense of emotional expression through my work. This is therapeutic for me but also hopefully evokes similar feelings and sensations for the viewer.
