 y name is Ginette Ashkenazy and I live and work in London and the South of France.
My interest is in the expression of light and colour ; the trace of human presence in a scene, the feeling left behind as it were ; the 'human condition' ; the expression of modern life in colour and the beauty of nature.
I paint in acrylics and oils and like exploring various ideas and media.
I have worked extensively in textile and fashion design having developed my own batik style.
I like travelling and painting abroad.
As for my training, I attended and still do occasionally, different ateliers in France and Israel - Maitre Daniel Bard's atelier in Callian, South of France, Maitre M. - H. Faglin also in Grasse - South of France, Asher Farine and Yael Kate in Tel Aviv, Israel.
I have exhibited extensively in the South of France, Israel and England. I am actively involved in Tai Chi.
