y relationship with the darkroom is very intimate; it is a personal space where darkness and light work in union together. The darkroom is my visual laboratory where I conduct experiments and form new creations. The images are inspired by the object; its colour, form, texture and more importantly how it feels, not just physically but emotionally. I combine shadows and silhouettes to create new narratives some considered, some spontaneous. Accidents often yield the most interesting results and are vital to keep pushing the technique forward. I try to not let my work be bound by the technique but to use it as a tool to paint with light and create exciting new works. For me the photogram has endless possibilities.
