t the moment, my work is about trees and men. Throughout my existence I have lived with trees. They are part of my life. I feel I could never bear living without their presence.
I derive much pleasure from walking among them, looking at them through the window, I like to see them parading in front of me while I sit in the train. I need to feel their presence. I like both their diversity and their similarity. I especially like the Tree in winter, without leaves. It is the tree in gestation, full of promises for the future. I present it as simple and unique. Tree and men are very close to each other despite the tree being more rewarding to the Man than the Man to the Tree.

Trees greatly benefit men. they offer us a world of precious things. On the one hand, they make us happy with their beauty and safe with their strength, peaceful with their shapes and foliages. They enable us to breathe. Everything they provide us, sap, leaves and wood represent an enormous wealth for the development of humanity. Among other things, they are at the core of paper manufacturing, a fantastic revolution in human history, one which gave humanity the possibility to express themselves, to create, to communicate and grow up. Thanks to paper we can draw, we can paint and write etc...
We can make newspapers and magazines, map the world and its towns and print phone books.

I have always been fascinated by world maps, town maps and phone books. This is the reason why I like to work with phone book paper which, by its texture, is pleasant to manipulate and, most of all, hosts this multitude of names and addresses of unknown people...all these possibilities of communication between them...
