 y name is Marlene Cartwright and I love art. My inspiration started at Grammar School but I was only in a position to attend University before retirement in 2006.
I studied Fine Art at Twelve Quays Campus, part of John Moores University, Liverpool attaining a 2:1 with Hons.
I derive my inspiration from life and current debates in the news e.g. Global Warming, Genetic Engineering etc.,although I do paint more traditional subjects such as wild life and portraits.
Colour is important to me.Since my retirement I have set up a small workshop at home and have been working to promote my art, compiling a body of work, mainly in Acrylic with mixed media |
